Adorable bride Stephanie

I met with Stephanie today for her makeup consultation. Her wedding will be this Saturday, June 2nd in St. Augustine. The summer heat is already here, so Stephanie wanted to be sure her makeup would be sweat and tear proof.

Keeping Makeup Fresh and Flawless

As we head from Spring into Summer and the weather starts to warm up, a big concern for many brides is how to keep their makeup lasting from morning until night on their wedding day. There are a few tips and tricks to keep your makeup looking flawless and fabulous. Start by keeping your skin healthy and soft. Be sure to treat your skin kindly and it will return the favor. Eating healthy and drinking appropriate amounts of water will show through with glowing skin. Do not sleep in your makeup, this includes eyeliner and mascara. Remove all traces of your makeup with a quality face wash and makeup remover. I adore Cetaphil, it's perfect for sensitive skin too! Exfoliate your skin to rid it of dead skin cells and renew that healthy glow. Philosophy's Microdelivery Peel Pads are perfect for at home exfoliating. Your skin needs moisture to stay healthy. Just as important as what you put into your body, you need to pay attention to damage from outside elements such as the sun, smoke,...

Andrea's Makeup Consultation

I just wrapped up a last minute makeup consultation for bride Andrea. Her wedding is this Saturday at the Shores Resort & Spa. Andrea wanted a defined eye with neutral lip. Similar to her normal makeup but just a bit more drama. I used OCC airbrush in Y2 with a touch of Y3. Her cheeks were a blend of MAC Prism and Tenderling with a touch of Yaby BL015on the apples of the cheeks. I used Yaby's Fairy highlight to accent the tops of the cheek bones and brow bone. Andrea's eyes were lined in MUFE black aqua liner and I applied false lashes to add fullness to her own natural lashes. A combination of eye shadows from Yaby in neutrals, coppers and golds were used to add a somewhat muted smokey eye. Andrea wanted to stick with a more neutral lip, so I used Becca lip stain in Fig followed by MUFE Aqua lip liner in a matching color. I then added just a touch of NYX gloss in a soft burgundy with Face Atelier's Artic Gold lip gloss.

Sweet review from Palm Coast bride Kathy!

Stephanie did a wonderful job! I originally hired another makeup artist who flaked on me and told me a week before the wedding she couldn't do it. My soon to be sister-in-law recommended I contact Stephanie and I am so glad she did. She made arrangements last minute to be there and did a better job than I could have expected. Thank you so much, Stephanie!! She was even able to cover a large tattoo I have on my back. Our pictures look wonderful and I couldn't be happier. Hire Stephanie for your wedding and you will be happy too! :) ~Kathy K. I have the most beautiful brides!! ~Stephanie Mazzeo
