That warm fuzzy feeling....

It makes me so happy when my beautiful brides send me love notes. Here is one from Jennifer M., married September 8 2013 in St. Augustine. It truly was a pleasure being part of her special day! "Stephanie was AMAZING! She came to me, she was on time, and she did a fantastic job. My bridesmaids and I looked beautiful. I was glad I still looked like me though. And the make-up held all day. Sooo satisfied with her service!"

It's a beautiful day for a wedding....

Heading off to downtown St. Augustine for Heather's wedding day makeup! As we step into September, Florida's temperature is still in the upper 80's with heavy humidity. Neutral tones with hints of golds and coppers will soften your features and bring a sunny glow to your skin. False lashes add definition and can complete the look for picture perfect photos.

Makeup Consultation

Today I had the opportunity to provide a makeup consultation for June bride, Marisa.  Her gown will be a cream color and the wedding, much like Marisa herself, is very vintage bohemian. After prepping and priming her skin, I used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic (OCC) airbrush foundation in R0. Temptu's blush in bronzer provided a bit of color to Marisa's cheeks. I accented with powder highlights and blushes by Yaby Cosmetics. Her eyes were primed with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, lined with Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner then followed with a blending of browns and light coppers from Yaby Cosmetics. Black mascara was added to blend in Marisa's blonde lashes with the false ones. A touch of OCC shimmer at the brow bone, cheeks and inner eyes helped provide some needed accents. Marisa's lips were first tinted with Becca Tint in Watermelon, then I applied Make Up For Ever's Aqua Lip Liner in 3C followed by a mix of berry-brown lipstick and peach-gold shimmer gloss ...

Booking your makeup artist

I can't stress enough how important it is to book your makeup artist well in advance. I'm talking at least 6 months or more. I've had to turn away many disappointed brides who waited until only a few weeks or even a month before their big day. I do not have a "team" of artists, so I can only book a minimum number of clients in any given month. One thing to keep in mind is that since I am not a "team" of artists, you can rest assured knowing that the makeup work you see on my website is me and only me. I can imagine it might be confusing to look at a website wondering what artist did which makeup. But on my site, it's me, just me. Saturdays and Sundays are usually always booked well in advance, but I've recently noticed a trend toward Friday weddings. So, no matter what day your special event falls on, I would be sure to plan well ahead to be able to book the artist you want. I also seem to receive a lot of calls from br...
