Engagement Photo Makeup

Bride to Be: Janice chose airbrush foundation for her engagement photo makeup. I followed with a soft muted blush then contouring and highlight from Yaby Cosmetics. Janice was partial to golds, so, I used Senna's naked palette and added some golds and coppers from Yaby Cosmetics. False Lashes vamped up her eyes. Becca Lip Stain topped with Make Up For Ever's Aqua Lips were then finished with a muted mauve lip color, some gold overlay then gloss. The entire look was sealed to last for the photoshoot in St. Augustine. She looked amazing!!! Hair: Marsha of Inflicting Beauty Salon

How to create "Kissable" lips....

Pucker up girls!!! What girl doesn't want irresistible, kissable lips?  Giving good lip begins with a proper base. Start by exfoliating your lips. I like Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub  or make your own lip scrub with sugar and honey. Use a soft washcloth and gentle circular motions to flake away dead skin from your lips. You'll want to add a touch of lip balm as a base. Try EMBRYOLISSE ™ Stick Protecteur Reparateur (Lips Protection Stick) Apply a lip liner to help color last longer. Line the entire lip and then fill in with color using your lip pencil. This will keep feathering to a minimum. Blot with a tissue. To achieve a sexy, pouty look, use a darker liner at the inner corners blending to a lighter color toward the center of your lips. Next apply your lipstick color using a lip brush. You'll have more control with a lip brush rather than trying to apply color straight from the lipstick tube. For added WOW! place a touch of gold eye shadow at th...

So you want to hire a makeup artist....

We all know I've mentioned countless times the importance of booking your makeup artist during the early stages of wedding planning. I just secured another wedding for 2013 and I took a glance at my calendar. I have one Saturday open in February, one in March, one in April and one left in May. Yikes! And it's not even the end of October yet. No matter where you are located, I am sure you will find makeup artists are booking up quickly. With technology advancing and creating better HD cameras, brides understand the need for professional quality makeup and hair. I can't imagine any other event other than your wedding day where you will be the center of attention and have oodles of cameras focused on you. A quality photographer can capture fantastic images, but if the subject isn't camera-ready, the end result will only be as good as its weakest link. Aim for the best you can find and make it happen. You need a stellar venue, an awe-inspiring dress, a ...
