Destination weddings

Destination weddings have become increasingly more common. With a touch of added romance, zesty adventure and of course the sultry GETAWAY, a destination wedding can be just that little special touch you're looking for. Planning and organizing a wedding in another city, state or country can be overwhelming and downright nerve-wracking. Trusting wedding professionals is scary enough, but depending on those not within reach can be quite intimidating. There are so many things that can go wrong; no-show photographers, inferior products, overbooked rooms, makeup artists not familiar with your skin type….. When planning your destination wedding, why not consider bringing a team of vendors with you? You will be able to easily hash out all the specifics and details in advance. Your stress level will be minimized knowing you’ve had the opportunity to work with them in detail making sure your wishes and ideas are well planned. No need to leave it all up to chance, especia...

Love letters......

I have the most beautiful clients in the world!!! Check out these two heart warming reviews from two stunning young brides... Georgia Bride: Hollie "I live in the Tallahassee, FL area and I had a hard time finding an airbrush make-up artist that looked reliable and had good reviews for my November 3rd wedding. I started looking in the surrounding areas and found Stephanie on the internet. I called her and left a message and she called me back within the hour. She was always very professional and timely anytime I emailed her. I set up a trial in her studio for me and my mom. She was punctual and did a great job on our makeup trial. She was very attentive during the trial of the look we were trying to achieve and the makeup looked great. We looked as good at 10PM as we did at 10AM that morning. After a successful trial, I scheduled Stephanie for my wedding. We kept in touch until the wedding day and she was always very responsive. She had to drive from her studio to Cairo, GA...

Airbrush Makeup vs. Traditional (hand-applied) Makeup

How to choose between airbrush makeup and traditional (hand-applied) makeup... There is a lot of hype about airbrush makeup. Having 20+ years of experience in applying makeup, and working with new and improved cosmetic products and the latest tools, let me provide you with my understanding of both airbrush and traditional makeup applications.  I do offer both airbrush and the traditional method of application and I do not charge more for either option. Why? Well, to begin with airbrushing is just another method or tool for applying makeup. I could use a sponge, a brush, my fingers or an airbrush machine. I don't consider it a special service, but rather a different technique.  With the airbrush method, small particles of the foundation are sprayed through an airbrush gun using air. These small particles are deposited on the skin and the amount of coverage is controlled by the individual applying the makeup. Airbrush offers the ability to apply a s...

"No Makeup" Makeup

I'm all about makeup! I love it, I adore it and I wear it just about every day.  However, there are some days when I really want to just go bare faced into the world but I know I still need to even out my skin tone and most definitely protect it from pollution and skin damage.  This is when I sport the "No Makeup" Makeup Look.   ( /\  FYI: This is not me   /\ ) Here are a few of my tips.   To get the skin smooth and even in tone, I begin prepping with a quality moisturizer.  I adore Embryolisse and for oily skin like mine, I use Emulsion Hydra-Mat.  If your skin isn't all that oily, then I suggest Lait-Crème Concentrè.  Once I've got the moisturizer applied, I add a primer.  A primer is going to provide you with an even canvas for your foundation.  When I'm not using airbrush makeup, I swear by Peter Thomas Roth's Max Anti-Shine Mattifying Gel.  Another fa...
