After the holidays, I always feel the need to detox for a healthier, fresh start My favorite is a berry banana smoothie 1/2 cup blueberries 1/2 cup raspberries 1 banana 1/2 cup orange juice 2 tablespoons flaxseed Start by adding flaxseed to blender and grind into a fine powder Add berries, banana and oj and blend until smooth If you freeze berries prior to use, it will create a creamier smoothie

This has certainly been one crazy year. It's never too soon to reflect on changing your way of thinking. I have vowed to focus on the here and now, keep the past where it belongs and enjoy life. "No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again" Here's to a fresh start and a new way of thinking!!

During the summer months, I find my hair looks amazing after spending a day at the beach. The salt water and ocean breeze create loose, messy curls that reminds me of a carefree time. When winter rolls around and the days at the beach are nonexistent (even in Florida), I have the perfect cure for the cold weather blahs. Use a homemade Sea Salt Spray to recreate the beach wavy hair of summer. You will need a spray bottle, a cup (8 oz.) of warm water, a teaspoon of Sea Salt, 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil and a dab of clear hair gel. Add the warm water to your spray bottle. Next, add the teaspoon of Sea Salt, then the 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil. Now add just a dab of clear hair gel. This will help keep the curls in place. Add the top to your spray bottle and shake well. Spray on dry or damp hair and scrunch to create beachy waves.

As temperatures begin to drop, humidity lowers and the winds pick up, your skin can become dry and irritated. You need to take care of your skin from head to toe. Here are a few tips to Winterize your skin. Start by switching your facial cleanser to one that is designed for sensitive skin.
